You might have sets of pictures and you wanted them to be shown as a video. There are many ways actually on how to make video from pictures. We call the simple ones photo slideshow and the ones with more 3D effects and has more designs 3D photomontage. Whatever, you may want to call them, let me show you then how to make video from pictures.

Here are the some of the ways:

1. Make Slideshow through Free Software

If you just want to make a simple photo slideshow then you can do it through free slideshow maker online. All you have to do is create an account, upload your photos and then create the slideshow. You can then share that video you made with less effort. Remember however that since this is free, there are some limitations in effects.

2. Make Slideshow Online through Animoto

More professional way on how to make video from pictures is through Animoto. You must be willing to pay something however. Well, don’t worry about it since it’s worth it. All you have to do is upload the photos that you want to use for the video. You can also point Animoto to where those photos are located online. You can then choose any royalty free music from their library. If you want to use a particular music then you can upload that as well. You can even make a personal message or story by adding some text. Animoto will then do the work for you by combining all those materials and make the video according to the theme and the music you chose. The output will be unique so it seems like you really made it by yourself.

3. Do it by Yourself

Alright, you may still don’t like those two options I gave because you wanted to do it by yourself and you want to control everything that will happen. You must then be willing to learn how to make video from pictures in a more professional way.

This will be free since you will be the one who will do the work. You might need to acquire some softwares however for you to learn well how to make video from pictures. Again, there are freebies out there but better have paid ones if you want a more professional and more personalized output. You might need the following softwares:

If you want to make a simple slideshow then the first thing to do is to resize all the photos you need. After that, bring them to After Effects to automate the slideshow. The way however on how to make video from pictures in making a 3D photomontage is more complicated. Again, Andrew Kramer has a tutorial for this. This is currently what I am applying as of now. This way on how to make video from pictures needs more of your time in effort but it will pay off in the end.
