My Editing Works for Now

If you read my last post, I mentioned that I am preparing to edit our wedding video. Some bad things happened though when two of my hard drives were corrupted. One of my oldest hard discs where I saved lots of my “editing riches” such as tutorials, software, plug ins, video editing samples, and many other contents I collected for years can no longer be read. I was thinking of buying a new hard drive and recover the disc but my budget is a bit limited this time so I just can’t. So though I hate it, I had no choice than to reformat the disc losing all those things I embarked their for how many years. Anyway, that’s the way it is. Life must go on. Maybe it’s time to throw those old things and make something new.

Still Planning…

Because of that, I haven’t started editing our wedding video yet. Well, I have all the time anyway so it’s fine. It’s not a client’s video so it’s not a problem at all. I’m really contemplating on many things that I can do in that video. I don’t know if I’ll make it timeshift or traditional or a mixture of the two. As I said also before, I will be placing some 3D photomontage in there. For those who can’t relate to me in what I’m talking about, my apologies. Don’t worry, you’ll soon see those things when the video is done. Just check it out soon.

My Job and My Tools

My video editing job still continues and this job is really awesome. I still use Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 together with After Effects and Photoshop in my works. They are really awesome software and they were with me for years already. We also use i7 platform and they work really nice specially for HDSLR footages. My boss just bought a Lenovo i7 laptop and it’s really handy for onsite wedding video editing. With the Canon 60D footages in HD and 60 frames per second, the slow motion is really great.

They still used a mixture of Sony FX1 camcorder and Canon 60D footage though so I have to re-size one from the other during editing. I admit the job is a bit harder compared to before where in they only use camcorders using tapes. The output however is better specially the inclusion of those Canon 60D footage.

A Promotional Video for You…

In the mean time, here is a simple promotional ad I made for my internet marketing online course site. I have been doing video editing and internet marketing jobs lately and so I’m busier than before. Well, I really need to specially now that I’m making a new family. Anyway, before I tell a lot of stories here, here’s the promotional video I’m talking about…
